Black Prairie on NPR Tiny Desk Concerts replaces timeless Music Festival…

Unfortunately, due to the Rim Fires which have been ravaging my favorite stomping grounds in the Sierra Nevada (and due to graduate school…) I had to skip out on my all time favorite music festival–a little known folk and bluegrass festival that happens Labor Day every year up in the mountains. From the most ripping bluegrass to the most tranquil lakeside yoga, this is a pretty laid back and extremely mellow music festival. If you’re looking for flashing lights, go to Coachella. It is however, a great way to meet and listen to (and potentially jam with) super talented musicians.

Any ways, enough of that. Black Prairie on NPR Tiny Desk Concerts has really been
doing me well as I’ve missed that mountain air.
